Our hearts are heavy from the tragedy in the Texas Hill Country. We pray for those impacted by the flooding. At all of our camps, Young Life has emergency procedures, both for natural disasters and accidents, and we regularly train on and review these procedures. The safety of every young person at camp is one of our highest priorities, and it influences our decision-making in every aspect of camp. If you have specific questions, please reach out to your local camp – contact info is at the bottom of this page – and thank you for keeping those affected in Texas in your prayers.
School Season Camping
Pioneer Plunge is able to offer school season accommodations mid-August through Thanksgiving, as well as March through the end of April. There are opportunities in this timeframe for both Young Life and non-Young Life bookings. In recent years, weekends have been reserved for work teams, but the Main Cabin is now able to be used for meeting space and other group needs; working over a weekend booking is not required, outside of helping in the kitchen.
Guides are provided to help host and run the weekend, though groups should come with their own programming and schedule.
To find out more about what to expect, availability and to reserve a weekend, please contact John Craven.
