If your child is planning a future trip to Pioneer Plunge or is here right now, we want you to have the information you need to rest easy while he or she is away. There are many activities at camp in which your child may be participating. Whether they are challenged while hiking, wood splitting or simply cooking a meal with friends, their safety is our top concern.
Pioneer Plunge will provide a Nalgene water bottle, sleeping bag and backpack. Feel free to bring these items if you already own them!
Please do not bring personal snacks or candy, soap and shampoo, deodorant, makeup, mirrors or razors.
Your Camper's safety is our biggest priority!!
Upon arrival to Pioneer Plunge, each camper will undergo a safety training by our staff. Young Life and Pioneer Plunge maintain the highest level of safety and standards in operation of all of our activities at camp.
Pioneer Plunge's activities are facilitated by trained and experienced staff. Your child will be in good hands while at Pioneer Plunge.
In the event of an unexpected accident, our staff are trained in Wilderness First Aid and there is always a qualified medical professional on call to tend to your child's needs. Also, if needed, the local hospital is only a short drive away.
We welcome kids of all abilities to our camps. The Pioneer Plunge experience has been designed with teenagers in mind. It is challenging, but very achievable. If your child has any special conditions, please be sure to note all of that information on the Young Life Health Form. If there are additional health needs or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
